HP and VMware have teamed up to develop and market solutions, intrusion prevention (Intrusion Prevention System, IPS) new generation, designed and optimized for virtual environments based on VMware and Cloud vSphere. Extension of the strategy Converged Infrastructure HP, this collaboration is based on the IPS solution HP TippingPoint for deployments of VMware vSphere, with a higher level of integration.
The two partners intend to improve the protection of businesses by integrating the TippingPoint IPS HP VMware VMware vCloud vShield well as Director. The integration of these products should help to improve security on the Cloud allows unified management of security rules and automating the processes of analysis, threat identification and blocking attacks. This combined solution will provide the means to deploy security policies that adjust automatically to changes in their environments Virtual such as the introduction of a new virtual machine. It will provide continuous protection of both physical and virtual infrastructure in a unified and integrated.
